Sub: List of Approved Securities and Approved Banks

This is further to our circular ref no: NSCC/F&O/C&S/824 (download no. NSE/CMPT/10509) dated March 31, 2008 regarding approved securities towards liquid assets in Futures & Options Segment and list of approved banks for issuance of Bank Guarantees / Fixed Deposit Receipts in the Futures & Options Segment.

The revised list of approved securities as given in Annexure I, II & III and the list of approved banks for issuance of Bank Guarantees/ Fixed Deposit Receipts as given in Annexure IV for Futures & Options Segment shall be effective from May 02, 2008.

1. Annexure I - List of equity shares that will form part of the non-cash component of liquid assets.
2. Annexure II - Units of mutual fund schemes that will form part of the non-cash component of liquid assets.
3. Annexure III - Units of mutual fund schemes that will form part of the cash component of liquid assets.
4. Annexure – IV – List of banks empanelled with NSCCL for the purpose of issuance of collaterals in the form of BGs and FDRs.

Haircut for the securities in Annexure I & Annexure II would be equivalent to the respective VaR of the security. The total number of Approved Securities is 509 and the total number of Approved Banks is 59.
